Cornerstone Volunteers

We are very grateful for the valuable support services our volunteers provide that makes Cornerstone a better place everyday. We are also grateful for your dedication to help us keep the culture safe for all.

All volunteers who provide services that involve supervision and/or close contact with any students must now be “Cornerstone Certified Volunteers”. Services provided from home or that do not involve student contact may not require certified status, but we recommend that all of our parents receive the required clearances and training so that you are available when needed, either here or in other places that you volunteer.

Clearances:

When you register for online clearances, you will receive an email or regular mail response. Please print those responses with your account numbers listed and bring to the office. We need to see your original and will make a copy for your volunteer file. If you already have copies of the following clearances, bring your original to the office and we will make a copy for your volunteer file.

* Request your PA State Police Criminal History Background Check (Act 34) at https://epatch.state.pa.us.  Call us if you need help to register. There is no fee for volunteers. We recommend you complete this on line, but a paper form is available in the office if you prefer. (It will take longer to process. Some online applications receive immediate results.)

* Request your  PA Child Abuse History Clearance – Indicate that you are applying as a volunteer and there is no fee.

* Complete the FBI Federal Criminal History Clearance before you can volunteer.  There is a fee for this clearance. If the $22.60 fee is cost-prohibitive for you, please contact the office. After you click on the link, it will request the school code. Please enter the School Code#: 1KG6TR

Read and sign the Arrest or Conviction Report and Certification Form

Note: Clearance results may take several weeks unless you complete them electronically. Once the completed registration forms have been reviewed, you will receive notification that you are eligible for volunteer training and to begin your volunteer service. Please call the office if you have any questions.
