Getting Students Involved in Mission

The Cornerstone Missions Club exists to provide opportunities for young people to grow in their faith through service. We look for service projects both within the walls of CCPA and out in the communities around us.
The students came up with a name for the group; Down For Christ.
We serve in many different ways from a dinner for First Responders to lunch service at a homeless shelter. The goal from day one has been to make sure that the young people in the club understand the powerful call in scripture to serve others and “be the light”.

Christianity is not a passive pursuit, it is an active call to die to self and to put the needs of others before our own.
The greatest desire of the leaders of Cornerstones Mission Club is that the group would see themselves as being on a nine month long mission trip during the school year.
Are you ready to answer the call?
Where is your mission field?
Matthew 20:28
even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
Acts 13:47
For so the Lord has commanded us, saying, “‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”
Romans 10:13-15
For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”
