What is Cornerstone Online?
Cornerstone Online is a virtual extension of our school. We co-op with Enlightium Academy, an online school that offers hundreds of core classes and electives to students from Preschool to High School. We have enrolled students from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, California, China and Liberia. The program is truly international!
How Does It Benefit Students?

Cornerstone Online students benefit from:
- A full online platform that can be accessed anytime from anywhere
- Year-round rolling enrollment that enables them to begin at any time during the academic year.
- Full-time or part-time enrollment
- Asynchronous weekly class schedules that enable them to choose when and how to complete assignments each week
- An individualized time management plan that helps students to pace out their assignments and successfully complete their classes
- Flexibility to complete courses/grade levels early, or within an extension arrangement
- Ability to print assignments and notes for completion offline and later uploading
- Access to both Enlightium AND Cornerstone staff and resources, and Tech Support
- Connections with other students who attend Enlightium and Cornerstone Online
Credit Recovery Options
Cornerstone Online provides a credit recovery vehicle for students who need it. Students enrolled in this option are placed into the online course that aligns with the class they need to make up. In most cases, credit recovery classes can be completed in as little as 3 weeks.
Academic Enrichment Options
Cornerstone Online provides access to core classes and electives not directly offered in-person at Cornerstone Prep. Students in good academic standing may enroll in one or more classes to enrich their learning and nurture their inherent curiosity and individual interests.
