Cornerstone Prep is a Preschool-12th Grade school dedicated to helping Bible-believing, evangelical Christian parents fulfill their Biblical mandate to educate their children in the Lord. To that end, all subjects are taught from a Biblical, Christian worldview. Bible classes emphasize learning to study scripture, to interpret it accurately, and to apply its truths to every area of life.

Step 1- Learn

Is Cornerstone the right fit for you and your family?

That's the most important question of all. All schools, even Christian schools, have distinct differences. We love finding out what is important to you and sharing what makes a Cornerstone Prep education unique and effective for many students. Before we have that conversation, it's helpful if you understand those distinctives, and evaluate if what you want for your children matches who we are, what we do, and why that is so important.

To learn more about how our school thinks, talks, learns, and engages on today's important issues, we request that you check out the Cornerstone Prepcast Episode 1- about Cornerstone Weekly Themes.

All students, even from the same family are unique. It's important to discover if each child has the desire and potential to be successful at Cornerstone. We believe that the right students and staff working with a supportive engaged family creates a symbiotic learning environment where passion for learning increases and students are enabled to produce their best work.

Learn more about our enrollment philosophy and culture...

We have adopted an enrollment policy designed for Christian families who are in agreement with our statement of faith, who are supportive of our philosophy, objectives, and standards of education, and whose children meet our enrollment standards. Our stated purpose is to serve families who desire not simply a private education, but a distinctly Christian education for their children. Enrollment at Cornerstone Prep is selective. It is a privilege, not a right.

Our goal is to help students achieve their maximum potential in all areas of their lives, which requires students who are willing to do things differently than the popular culture of this present age. When students grow as disciples of Jesus Christ, we believe that the Holy Spirit increasingly enables them to live lives that honor the Lord. Love and respect for God and others are essential core values that define everything we do.

Expectations for enrollment or continued enrollment are:

*Students are Christians who want to be a part of Cornerstone’s environment of authentic education and Biblical discipleship.

*Students are willing to work hard to demonstrate respectful relationships between staff, students, parents and others. Love and respect enhances safety, security, and success in our classrooms and school.

*Students are willing to be challenged as disciples of Jesus to exhibit disciplined behavior as positive role models for others, and increasingly faithful mentors to our younger students.

*Students are regularly engaged in Bible teaching churches and/or youth groups.

*Students are of average to above average academic ability who have a desire to learn, and are willing to work hard to achieve increasingly greater goals- body, mind and soul. (If they have struggled with that in the past, we need to see real evidence of willingness to work hard and not be a distraction to others.)

*Students need to demonstrate a strong record of attendance.

*Students and their families need to demonstrate a positive attitude and cooperative encouraging spirit toward others, which is essential to the health of the whole school.

*Students are encouraged to be engaged in co-curricular and extracurricular activities

*We expect students to maintain cheerful, faithful compliance with all school policies including the uniform dress code and electronic device use, regardless of personal agreement with the policies.

*Students are expected to exhibit consistent evidence of Christ-honoring behavior as described in the Gospels and Epistles for disciples, both in and outside of school, in word and deed. That includes consistency in their social media presence, showing honor and respect for others with language that is kind, jokes that are appropriate.

Initial and continued enrollment is conditional upon a student’s commitment to maintaining healthy standards in attitude and behavior. The culture of Cornerstone Prep is what makes our school unique and effective. It explains why some students/families make significant sacrifices for their children to be enrolled here. That means we take seriously our responsibility to bear the name of Jesus Christ in a way that reflects His truth.

You’ll find that we have certain standards you must live by while enrolled. Some are rules that we strongly believe are Biblical mandates and others are preferences that we believe help you achieve greater self-discipline to reach ambitious goals. We have as few as possible but are firm with the ones we’ve selected, because the way our students live is the greatest testimony to truth that we have to offer the world.

It is important for your personal safety and the unity of our student body that we agree on certain values that allow us to live in harmony and peace. When you enroll at Cornerstone Prep you are agreeing to abide by our school rules while you are on school property and even when you are not. In each instance where a member of the student body steps outside these boundaries of appropriate behavior, applying grace is our goal. This does not preclude us from taking whatever disciplinary measures are necessary to protect both the student and the student body, unfortunately including expulsion if necessary. We all represent Jesus Christ when we bear the name Christian, and have joint responsibility to represent Him and our school very well, protecting our community reputation as diligently as we strive to protect our individual reputations.

Biblical principles are integrated into every subject taught at our school. Our staff is committed not only to academic excellence, but also to teaching students how to apply the truths of God’s Word to every aspect of life. If you are in agreement with the teachings of God’s Word, our school will complement the beliefs and ideals your child is taught at home. We respect your desire to place your child in the best possible learning environment, but if you and/or your child are not in full agreement with our faith statement, it will not be a good fit for your child to be enrolled at our school.

Please review our Mission and Faith Statements and discuss with your children. If this looks like a good fit, please go to Step 2!
